The President of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya, along with Vice President Mr. Ghanashyam Ghimire, Secretary General Ms. Yubika Bhandari, and other board members, recently held a pivotal meeting with the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). The focus of this meeting was to present a set of strategic recommendations to the “Regular International Flight Operations Working Group” to ensure the consistent and efficient functioning of Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) and Pokhara International Airport (PIA).
During the meeting, NATTA emphasized the importance of these airports in enhancing Nepal’s connectivity with the international community. The recommendations provided are aimed at addressing operational challenges and optimizing the airports’ infrastructure and services. By implementing these strategies, CAAN can position GBIA and PIA as key international gateways, which is essential for fostering tourism and driving economic growth in Nepal.
NATTA’s suggestions include enhancing airport facilities, improving air traffic management, and implementing advanced technology for better passenger experience. Additionally, they proposed marketing strategies to attract more international airlines and promote the airports as preferred destinations for travelers.
