In a commendable effort to mark the 45th World Tourism Day, the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) partnered with the Rotary Club Patan South to conduct a meaningful tree plantation drive at Sahid Park, Gokarneshwor.
Held on September 14, 2024, the event highlighted the tourism sector’s dedication to environmental sustainability. A range of prominent figures from the tourism and local communities joined the occasion. NATTA President Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya, along with NATTA board members and Past Presidents, actively engaged in planting trees, demonstrating their commitment to green practices.
The event also saw the participation of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) CEO Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi and other NTB delegates. Their presence underscored a collaborative approach towards environmental conservation, aligning with the broader goals of sustainable tourism.

Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya spoke on the significance of such initiatives, emphasizing that they not only enhance Nepal’s natural beauty but also align with the objectives of sustainable tourism. “We aim to contribute positively to the environment while promoting eco-friendly practices within the tourism sector,” he said.
NTB CEO Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi echoed these sentiments, affirming that the collaboration between NATTA and NTB represents a collective effort to preserve Nepal’s pristine landscapes for future generations.
