The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has initiated a 6-day comprehensive Galileo Travelport GDS (Global Distribution System) training program for its members. This specialized training, held in collaboration with Galileo Nepal Ltd., began on 18th September and is aimed at enhancing the technical skills and professional growth of NATTA’s member agencies in the field of GDS operations.
The program focuses on equipping travel agents with in-depth knowledge and expertise in utilizing Galileo Travelport, one of the world’s leading GDS platforms. This system is essential for managing airline bookings, hotel reservations, and other travel-related services, and its mastery is vital for travel agencies to remain competitive in the fast-evolving tourism industry.
During the training, participants will gain hands-on experience with various GDS functionalities, including flight ticketing, itinerary management, and fare calculations. The course also emphasizes improving efficiency in booking systems, enhancing customer service, and staying updated with the latest trends and technological advancements in the travel industry.
By partnering with Galileo Nepal Ltd., NATTA aims to ensure that its members have access to the best resources and training opportunities, fostering long-term professional development. The program is designed not only to enhance the skills of current travel professionals but also to contribute to the overall growth of the tourism sector in Nepal.
This initiative is part of NATTA’s ongoing commitment to support its members in adapting to the increasing digitalization of the travel industry, ensuring they can provide seamless services to both domestic and international clients.
