In a significant milestone on their journey to Mt. Everest, the NCC (National Cadet Corps) Boys and Girls Everest Expedition Team from India successfully summited Mt. Lobuche East (6,119 meters) as part of their first acclimatization rotation. The team, under the leadership of Colonel Amit Bisht, reached the summit of Lobuche East on a clear morning, demonstrating both their physical preparedness and mental resilience. This achievement marks a crucial step in their high-altitude acclimatization process, and the group is now poised to begin summit rotations toward the ultimate goal Mount Everest.

The Lobuche East summit is a strategic part of the acclimatization schedule for Everest climbers, offering technical climbing experience and altitude adaptation. The NCC team members who successfully reached the top include Dawa Tseten Bhutia, Rigzin Dorjai, Kritika Sharma, Pratima Rai, Rifiness Warjri, Monika, Abida Afreen, Mohit Knathia, Padma Namgail, Mukul Bangwal, Virendra Singh Samant, Sachin Kumar, Rajneesh Joshi, Ankhur Rawat, Jogmaith Namgyal, and Deepak Kumar. Their achievement reflects months of rigorous preparation, physical training, and strong teamwork.

Supporting this remarkable feat were the Sherpa team members Jenjen Lama, Phinjo Nuppa Bhote, Lakpa Bhote, Suku Bahadur Tamang, Ngang Dorchi Bhote, Dawa Sangey Sherpa, and Chhebi Bhote whose expertise, experience, and dedication played a vital role in ensuring the safety and success of the expedition. Sherpas are known for their unparalleled skills in high-altitude mountaineering and remain indispensable to Himalayan expeditions.
