The renowned pilgrimage site, Pathibhara Temple, witnessed an influx of nearly 6,000 devotees in a single day today. According to the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, a total of 5,983 pilgrims visited the temple following the Dashain Tika, marking a significant increase in footfall.
The number of visitors today surpassed the total for the entire month of Ashoj, during which 5,949 devotees had visited. Prior to Dashain, the arrival of devotees was limited due to road blockages caused by floods and landslides in various parts of the country.
Pathibhara Temple experiences its largest crowds during the festivals of Bada Dashain and Chaite Dashain. As this period is considered the main “season” for pilgrims, the Pathibhara Area Development Committee has made necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth experience for visitors, Executive Director Prajin Hangbang confirmed.
The surge in visitors highlights the temple’s cultural and religious significance, especially during the festive season.
