Nepal Airlines Corporation has announced the cancellation of several international flights due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East and the resulting closure of airspace. The decision comes as regional aviation routes remain disrupted, affecting multiple carriers operating flights through affected air corridors.
Affected Kathmandu–Doha Services
According to the airline, the Kathmandu–Doha flight (RA 253) scheduled for 20, 21, and 23 April 2026 has been cancelled. Similarly, the return Doha–Kathmandu flight (RA 254) scheduled for 21, 22, and 24 April 2026 has also been suspended.
The airline stated that the cancellations were unavoidable due to safety concerns and operational constraints arising from the airspace restrictions.
Airline Issues Apology and Assurance
Nepal Airlines Corporation expressed sincere regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the disruption. The national flag carrier stated that it is closely monitoring the evolving situation and coordinating with relevant authorities to resume normal flight operations as soon as conditions permit. Passengers affected by the cancellations have been advised to stay in contact with the airline for further updates regarding rebooking and alternative arrangements.
