Nepal Airlines Corporation has expressed its condolences for the 18 individuals who lost their lives in the Saurya Airlines crash during the Kathmandu-Pokhara flight on Wednesday. In a press release issued today, the Corporation extended its sympathies to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for the injured crew member.
The aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport’s runway, resulting in the deaths of 18 passengers and leaving one injured. Nepal Airlines has expressed its hope for the quick recovery of the injured crew member.
The Saurya Airlines flight, bearing the call sign Nine AA-AME, was carrying 19 people, including the crew, when it crashed to the right side of Runway-2 of Tribhuvan International Airport during takeoff on Wednesday morning. The pilot, who survived the crash, is currently receiving medical treatment.
