Nepal Airlines to Conduct Rescue Flight Between Kathmandu and Bhairahawa on Fulpati

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the national flag bearer, has announced a special rescue flight between Kathmandu and Bhairahawa on October 10, coinciding with Fulpati, an important day of the Bada Dashain festival. This initiative aims to assist travelers affected by the recent floods and landslides that have damaged major highways and roads connecting Kathmandu Valley to other destinations.

The rescue flight comes as part of the directives from the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, in response to the transportation challenges faced by many during the festive season. Yubaraj Adhikari, Executive Chair of NAC, confirmed that the airline is stepping in to ensure that people can reach their destinations safely.

According to the flight schedule, NAC’s Airbus A320 will depart from Kathmandu at 11:00 AM and return from Bhairahawa at 12:30 PM. The fare for the Kathmandu to Bhairahawa flight is set at NPR 7,000, while the return flight from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu will cost NPR 3,890.

This timely rescue operation aims to alleviate travel difficulties during one of Nepal’s busiest travel seasons.
