A discussion on enhancing cooperation in tourism promotion between Nepal and Indonesia took place today. The dialogue was held between Ni Made Ayu Marthini, the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, and Deepak Raj Joshi, the CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board.
During the meeting at the Nepal Tourism Board, the two leaders discussed working together to advance the tourism sectors of both nations. On the occasion, Deputy Minister Marthini expressed her admiration for Nepal’s art, culture, and natural beauty, committing to support the promotion of tourism in Nepal. “Nepal is truly beautiful. I am captivated by the hospitality and behavior of the people here. There is immense potential for tourism in Nepal, and I am committed to doing everything I can to promote it,” she said.
CEO Joshi emphasized the cordial relations between Nepal and Indonesia, stating that the Nepal Tourism Board is always ready for cooperation. “There has been cooperation in the past for tourism promotion between Nepal and Indonesia, and we want to continue that partnership to further enhance Nepal’s tourism,” Joshi remarked.
He also suggested the possibility of engaging in business-to-business (B2B) collaborations and establishing direct, regular flights between the two countries, which would benefit both nations. Indonesian Ambassador to Nepal and Bangladesh, Heru Hartanto Subolo, also stressed the need for collaboration between the tourism boards of both countries. He highlighted the potential for joint promotional programs that could mutually benefit Nepal and Indonesia.
