In a bid to enhance tourism through sports and traditional Nepali cuisine, the Hotel Association of Nepal and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Asia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement was formalized during the 25th Congress of the International Sports Press Association held in Kathmandu.
The MoU was signed by Vinayak Shah, President of the Hotel Association of Nepal, and Headon Jung, President of AIPS Asia. As part of the agreement, Headon Jung, a Korean journalist, will serve as the international ambassador for Nepali traditional cuisine.
The Congress, which saw the participation of over 70 senior sports journalists from various countries, included a special dinner hosted by the Hotel Association of Nepal. The dinner featured traditional Nepali dishes and beverages prepared by ten renowned Nepali master chefs, serving as a warm welcome for the international guests.
During the welcome event, discussions were held among international sports journalists, the Hotel Association of Nepal, tourism-related organizations, and officials from the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum. The discussions focused on plans for promoting both sports and tourism.
