The Nepal-Myanmar Trade and Tourism Expo 2025 is set to take place in Yangon, Myanmar, on March 21-22. Organized jointly by the Embassy of Nepal in Myanmar and the Nepal Tourism Board, the event aims to strengthen economic, cultural, and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

According to a press release from the Nepal Tourism Board, the expo will explore new opportunities for collaboration in trade, IT software, and tourism. A key objective of the event is to promote Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, as a global symbol of peace and to encourage Buddhist devotees to visit Nepal. The expo is expected to enhance spiritual and cultural exchanges between Nepal-Myanmar.

Representatives from five tourism companies, as well as businesses from the IT software and agriculture sectors, will participate in the expo. The event is expected to boost agricultural trade between the two nations, particularly focusing on rice and pulses.

The expo will also encourage business leaders to invest in IT software solutions and the digital economy. Nepal will showcase IT solutions at the exhibition, opening new avenues for technology collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two countries.

The event will feature B2B sessions, presentations by the Nepal Tourism Board, and discussions on trade growth, innovation, and cultural exchange. It will provide networking opportunities for business leaders and create new possibilities for partnerships.

Nepali companies such as Hotel Manaslu Pvt. Ltd., Hotel Ratnasambhav (Lumbini), Himalayan 360, Jugal Holidays Pvt. Ltd., Buddhist Circuit Dot Com Pvt. Ltd., and Namaste Tourism & Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will present their services at the expo. Their goal is to attract Myanmar tourists to Nepal’s major Buddhist pilgrimage sites and to elevate tourism and trade opportunities.

The expo is expected to increase the number of Myanmar tourists visiting Nepal while strengthening trade relations between the two nations. The Nepal Tourism Board stated, “We anticipate that this expo will open new doors for long-term cooperation between Nepal and Myanmar in the economic, cultural, and tourism sectors.”
