Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of aviation fuel used for international flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa and Pokhara International Airport.
In a decision made during today’s board meeting, NOC announced that the new prices, effective from midnight, will see a reduction of USD 91 per kiloliter for Bhairahawa and USD 76 per kiloliter for Pokhara. Previously, NOC charged USD 860 per kiloliter for international aviation fuel at both airports. With the price cuts, the new rates are set at USD 769 per kiloliter at Bhairahawa and USD 784 at Pokhara.
This reduction follows the implementation of the “Comprehensive Improvement Plan for Nepal’s Civil Aviation Sector and Operational Plan for Gautam Buddha International Airport and Pokhara International Airport,” which was approved by the Cabinet on Shrawan 28. NOC stated that the fuel price reduction aims to support international flights operating from these two airports.
