Nepal has felt its presence at the ‘India International Mart–2024’ in Bangalore. Scheduled from July 26 to 28, this significant event in South India’s vibrant city features the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) as a prominent participant. Binod Sapkota, the General Secretary of TAAN, reported that nine trekking and travel companies under TAAN are showcasing their services at the mart.
These companies include Enchanted Travels Pvt. Ltd., Indomed Travels Pvt. Ltd., Well Nepal Treks Pvt. Ltd., Nepal Social Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd., Mission Nepal Holidays Pvt. Ltd., Himalayan Yogi Adventure Pvt. Ltd., Nepal Big Mountain Travel Pvt. Ltd., Mountain Tiger Nepal Pvt. Ltd., and Jugal Holidays.
The delegation from TAAN is led by Executive Committee Member Ram Prasad Banjara, who is spearheading efforts to promote Nepal’s tourism industry at the event. The team’s involvement is seen as a strategic move to highlight Nepal’s diverse trekking and travel opportunities to an international audience, fostering stronger tourism ties and attracting more visitors to Nepal.
In the past, TAAN has been represented at various tourism fairs across India by its first Vice President, Pradeep Pandit. This year, however, Banjara’s leadership role at the India International Mart has been undertaken, marking a new chapter in TAAN’s ongoing efforts to enhance Nepal’s visibility in the global tourism market. The participation of these nine companies underlines the collaborative spirit within TAAN and their commitment to showcasing the unique trekking and adventure experiences Nepal has to offer.
