The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for Monday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at NPR 139.59, while the selling rate is NPR 140.19. Similarly, the buying rate for one euro is NPR 144.16, and the selling rate is NPR 144.78.
The exchange rates for other major currencies have also been determined. The buying and selling rates for one British pound sterling are NPR 173.24 and NPR 173.98, respectively. The Swiss franc is set at NPR 153.44 for buying and NPR 154.10 for selling.
For other widely used currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of NPR 87.54 and a selling rate of NPR 87.92. The Canadian dollar stands at NPR 97.65 for buying and NPR 98.07 for selling. Meanwhile, the Singapore dollar is exchanged at NPR 103.03 for buying and NPR 103.47 for selling.
Among Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is NPR 9.22, with the selling rate at NPR 9.26. The Chinese yuan is set at NPR 19.15 for buying and NPR 19.23 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is NPR 37.22 for buying and NPR 37.38 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 38.28 for buying and NPR 38.45 for selling.
Additionally, the exchange rates for the Thai baht, UAE dirham, Malaysian ringgit, South Korean won, Swedish krona, and Danish krone have been set at NPR 4.12, NPR 38.00, NPR 31.44, NPR 9.59 (per 100), NPR 12.76, and NPR 19.32, respectively, for buying. The selling rates for these currencies are NPR 4.14, NPR 38.17, NPR 31.57, NPR 9.63 (per 100), NPR 12.81, and NPR 19.41, respectively.
NRB has also fixed the exchange rate for the Hong Kong dollar at NPR 17.92 for buying and NPR 17.99 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar has a buying rate of NPR 452.05 and a selling rate of NPR 454.00, while the Bahraini dinar stands at NPR 370.27 for buying and NPR 371.86 for selling. The Omani riyal has been valued at NPR 362.56 for buying and NPR 364.12 for selling.
For Indian currency, 100 Indian rupees will be exchanged at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling. The central bank has also stated that these rates are subject to change as needed. Commercial banks may set different exchange rates, and updated rates will be available on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
