The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for Wednesday, setting the buying and selling rates of major international currencies against the Nepali Rupee. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US Dollar (USD) has been fixed at Rs. 152.31, while the selling rate has been set at Rs. 152.91. The revised exchange rates cover major global currencies, including the Euro, British Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Chinese Yuan, Japanese Yen, and several Middle Eastern and Asian currencies.

Highest-Valued Currencies
Among the currencies listed, the Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) remains the highest-valued currency against the Nepali Rupee, with a buying rate of Rs. 495.80 and a selling rate of Rs. 497.75. It is followed by the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) at Rs. 403.95 for buying and Rs. 405.54 for selling, and the Omani Riyal (OMR) at Rs. 395.59 for buying and Rs. 397.15 for selling. Meanwhile, the British Pound Sterling continues to trade above Rs. 200, with buying and selling rates of Rs. 204.74 and Rs. 205.55, respectively. The Euro has been fixed at Rs. 175.31 for buying and Rs. 176.00 for selling.
Rates for Regional Currencies
The exchange rates for major regional currencies have also been updated. The Chinese Yuan has been set at Rs. 22.55 for buying and Rs. 22.64 for selling, while 10 Japanese Yen are valued at Rs. 9.65 for buying and Rs. 9.68 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian Riyal, Qatari Riyal, UAE Dirham, and Malaysian Ringgit have been revised in line with international market movements. The Indian Rupee, Nepal’s most widely used foreign currency for cross-border trade and travel, has been fixed at Rs. 160.00 for buying and Rs. 160.15 for selling per 100 Indian Rupees.

Exchange Rates Subject to Revision
The Nepal Rastra Bank stated that the published exchange rates may be revised at any time if required. It also noted that commercial banks may quote different exchange rates depending on market conditions. The latest official exchange rates are available through the Nepal Rastra Bank’s website and are updated as necessary.
