Nepal Rastra Bank has released the official foreign exchange rates for today. As per the central bank’s latest update, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at NPR 139.24, while the selling rate stands at NPR 139.84.
Similarly, the exchange rate for one European Euro has been fixed at NPR 146.13 for buying and NPR 146.76 for selling. The British Pound Sterling is trading at NPR 176.06 for buying and NPR 176.81 for selling, while the Swiss Franc is valued at NPR 155.45 for buying and NPR 156.12 for selling.
For other major currencies, the Australian Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 87.94 and a selling rate of NPR 88.32. The Canadian Dollar is being exchanged at NPR 97.11 for buying and NPR 97.53 for selling, while the Singapore Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 104.05 and a selling rate of NPR 104.50.
In the Asian market, the Japanese Yen (per 10 units) has a buying rate of NPR 9.31 and a selling rate of NPR 9.35. Meanwhile, the Chinese Yuan is trading at NPR 19.18 for buying and NPR 19.27 for selling. Among Middle Eastern currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is valued at NPR 37.13 for buying and NPR 37.29 for selling, while the Qatari Riyal has a buying rate of NPR 38.20 and a selling rate of NPR 38.36.
Additionally, the Thai Baht has been set at NPR 4.13 for buying and NPR 4.15 for selling, whereas the UAE Dirham stands at NPR 37.91 for buying and NPR 38.08 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit is being traded at NPR 31.44 for buying and NPR 31.57 for selling. Likewise, 100 units of the South Korean Won are valued at NPR 9.70 for buying and NPR 9.75 for selling.
For Scandinavian currencies, the Swedish Kroner is valued at NPR 13.12 for buying and NPR 13.17 for selling, while the Danish Kroner has a buying rate of NPR 19.59 and a selling rate of NPR 19.68.
The exchange rate for one Hong Kong Dollar has been set at NPR 17.91 for buying and NPR 17.99 for selling. In the Gulf region, the Kuwaiti Dinar remains one of the highest-valued currencies, with a buying rate of NPR 451.40 and a selling rate of NPR 453.35. The Bahraini Dinar is valued at NPR 369.41 for buying and NPR 371.00 for selling. Similarly, the Omani Riyal is being exchanged at NPR 361.66 for buying and NPR 363.22 for selling.
Regarding the Indian Rupee, which has a fixed exchange rate with the Nepalese currency, 100 Indian Rupees are equivalent to NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also mentioned that these exchange rates are subject to change at any time as per the bank’s requirement. Commercial banks in Nepal may have slightly different exchange rates, and the latest updates can always be checked on the central bank’s official website.
