The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for Wednesday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one U.S. dollar is set at NPR 139.25, while the selling rate is NPR 139.85.
Similarly, the exchange rate for one European euro stands at NPR 151.72 for buying and NPR 152.37 for selling. The British pound sterling is being traded at NPR 180.04 for buying and NPR 180.82 for selling, while the Swiss franc’s buying and selling rates are NPR 157.84 and NPR 158.52, respectively according to Nepal Rastra Bank.
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of NPR 87.45 and a selling rate of NPR 87.83, while the Canadian dollar is priced at NPR 96.66 for buying and NPR 97.07 for selling. The Singapore dollar is exchanged at NPR 104.51 for buying and NPR 104.96 for selling.
The Japanese yen, calculated per 10 units, has a buying rate of NPR 9.43 and a selling rate of NPR 9.47. The Chinese yuan stands at NPR 19.25 for buying and NPR 19.33 for selling. Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabian riyal is set at NPR 37.13 for buying and NPR 37.29 for selling, whereas the Qatari riyal is priced at NPR 38.21 for buying and NPR 38.37 for selling.
The exchange rate for one Thai baht is NPR 4.12 for buying and NPR 4.14 for selling. The UAE dirham is valued at NPR 37.91 for buying and NPR 38.08 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit is set at NPR 31.55 for buying and NPR 31.69 for selling. Similarly, 100 units of the South Korean won are priced at NPR 9.58 for buying and NPR 9.63 for selling. The Swedish krona is being traded at NPR 13.82 for buying and NPR 13.88 for selling, while the Danish krone has a buying rate of NPR 20.34 and a selling rate of NPR 20.43.
For other currencies, the Hong Kong dollar is set at NPR 17.92 for buying and NPR 18 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at NPR 451.92 for buying and NPR 453.87 for selling. The Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of NPR 369.36 and a selling rate of NPR 370.95. Likewise, the Omani riyal is traded at NPR 361.70 for buying and NPR 363.26 for selling.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling. The central bank has stated that these rates are subject to revision at any time as per market conditions. It also clarified that commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the most updated exchange rates will be available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
