Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the exchange rates for foreign currencies for Tuesday, with fluctuations observed in several major international currencies compared to the previous day. According to the central bank, the exchange rates for the US dollar, Euro, British Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, and other currencies have increased slightly.
As per the fixed exchange rates, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at NPR 139.44, while the selling rate is NPR 140.04. Similarly, the Euro’s buying rate is NPR 151.31, with a selling rate of NPR 151.96. The British Pound Sterling is trading at NPR 180.22 (buying) and NPR 180.99 (selling), whereas the Swiss Franc is set at NPR 159.00 (buying) and NPR 159.68 (selling).
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is valued at NPR 88.20 (buying) and NPR 88.58 (selling), while the Canadian dollar is exchanged at NPR 96.98 (buying) and NPR 97.40 (selling). The Singapore dollar has been fixed at NPR 104.78 (buying) and NPR 105.23 (selling).
The exchange rate for the Japanese Yen (per 10 units) is NPR 9.48 (buying) and NPR 9.52 (selling), whereas one Chinese Yuan is valued at NPR 19.21 (buying) and NPR 19.29 (selling). The Saudi Arabian Riyal stands at NPR 37.17 (buying) and NPR 37.33 (selling), while the Qatari Riyal is fixed at NPR 38.26 (buying) and NPR 38.42 (selling).
In addition, the Thai Baht is priced at NPR 4.13 (buying) and NPR 4.14 (selling), whereas the UAE Dirham is trading at NPR 37.97 (buying) and NPR 38.13 (selling). The Malaysian Ringgit is exchanged at NPR 31.52 (buying) and NPR 31.66 (selling). The South Korean Won (per 100 units) is fixed at NPR 9.58 (buying) and NPR 9.62 (selling). The Swedish Krona is priced at NPR 13.80 (buying) and NPR 13.86 (selling), while the Danish Krona is valued at NPR 20.29 (buying) and NPR 20.37 (selling).
Similarly, the Hong Kong Dollar is set at NPR 17.95 (buying) and NPR 18.03 (selling). The Kuwaiti Dinar holds one of the highest exchange values at NPR 452.65 (buying) and NPR 454.60 (selling), while the Bahraini Dinar is trading at NPR 369.87 (buying) and NPR 371.46 (selling). The Omani Riyal is valued at NPR 362.20 (buying) and NPR 363.75 (selling).
For the Indian Rupee, Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rate at NPR 160.00 for 100 Indian Rupees in buying and NPR 160.15 in selling. Nepal Rastra Bank has also stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision at any time based on market fluctuations. It further clarified that commercial banks may set slightly different exchange rates, and customers are advised to check the NRB’s official website for the latest updates.
