Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the exchange rates for foreign currencies for Friday, with several currencies seeing an increase in value compared to Thursday. According to the central bank’s announcement, the values of the US Dollar, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Japanese Yen, Chinese Yuan, Qatari Rial, Thai Baht, Malaysian Ringgit, Kuwaiti Dinar, and Bahraini Dinar have risen. However, the Euro and Danish Krone saw a decrease in their value.
For Friday, the exchange rate for the US Dollar is set at NPR 134.90 for buying and NPR 135.50 for selling. The Euro is pegged at NPR 142.04 for buying and NPR 142.67 for selling.
The British Pound is valued at NPR 170.62 for buying and NPR 171.38 for selling, while the Swiss Franc is set at NPR 152.71 for buying and NPR 153.38 for selling. The Australian Dollar is listed at NPR 88.00 for buying and NPR 88.39 for selling.
The Canadian Dollar is priced at NPR 96.63 for buying and NPR 97.07 for selling, while the Singapore Dollar stands at NPR 144.00 for buying and NPR 149.00 for selling.
For the Japanese Yen, the rate is NPR 8.73 for buying and NPR 8.77 for selling, while the Chinese Yuan is priced at NPR 18.63 for buying and NPR 18.71 for selling. The Saudi Riyal is valued at NPR 35.93 for buying and NPR 36.09 for selling, and the Qatari Rial is pegged at NPR 37.00 for buying and NPR 37.17 for selling.
Other currencies like the Thai Baht, UAE Dirham, Malaysian Ringgit, South Korean Won, Swedish Krona, Danish Krone, and Hong Kong Dollar also saw slight fluctuations in their values, with respective buying and selling rates provided by the central bank.
The Kuwaiti Dinar remains the highest-valued currency, with a buying rate of NPR 438.67 and a selling rate of NPR 440.62, while the Bahraini Dinar is priced at NPR 357.90 for buying and NPR 359.49 for selling.
NRB has clarified that these exchange rates may be revised as needed, and the rates set by commercial banks may differ. Updated rates will be available on the central bank’s official website.
