Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the buying rate for the US dollar fixed at NPR 134.20 and the selling rate at NPR 134.80. The value of the US dollar has remained stable over the past three days. Similarly, there were no changes in the rates for the Japanese yen, UAE dirham, and Hong Kong dollar over the weekend.
For other currencies, the buying and selling rates are as follows: the European Euro is set at NPR 146.49 (buying) and NPR 147.14 (selling); the UK Pound Sterling at NPR 175.08 (buying) and NPR 176.14 (selling); and the Swiss Franc at NPR 155.65 (buying) and NPR 156.34 (selling). The Australian Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 90.12 and a selling rate of NPR 90.52, while the Canadian Dollar is set at NPR 97.28 (buying) and NPR 97.71 (selling). The Singapore Dollar is priced at NPR 102.63 (buying) and NPR 103.09 (selling).
Additional rates include: the Japanese yen at NPR 8.97 (buying) and NPR 9.01 (selling) for 10 yen; the Chinese Yuan at NPR 18.94 (buying) and NPR 19.03 (selling); the Saudi Arabian Riyal at NPR 35.74 (buying) and NPR 35.90 (selling); and the Qatari Riyal at NPR 36.81 (buying) and NPR 36.97 (selling).
The bank has also set the Thai Baht at NPR 4.03 (buying) and NPR 4.05 (selling), the UAE Dirham at NPR 36.54 (buying) and NPR 36.70 (selling), and the Malaysian Ringgit at NPR 31.25 (buying) and NPR 31.39 (selling).
For other currencies, the South Korean Won is set at NPR 9.87 (buying) and NPR 9.91 (selling) for 100 won; the Swedish Krona at NPR 12.87 (buying) and NPR 12.93 (selling); and the Danish Krona at NPR 19.63 (buying) and NPR 19.72 (selling).
Additionally, the Hong Kong Dollar is set at NPR 17.20 (buying) and NPR 17.36 (selling), while the Kuwaiti Dinar is priced at NPR 437.49 (buying) and NPR 439.49 (selling). The Bahraini Dinar has been set at NPR 355.97 (buying) and NPR 357.56 (selling). The buying rate for the Indian Rupee is NPR 160.00, with a selling rate of NPR 160.15.
The Nepal Rastra Bank has indicated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It is important to note that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
