Nepal Rastra Bank Fixes Foreign Exchange Rates for Today

 The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the exchange rates for various foreign currencies against the Nepalese rupee for today. The central bank’s updated rates include buying and selling prices for major global currencies, including the US dollar, Euro, British pound, and several Asian and Middle Eastern currencies.

Key Exchange Rates

According to NRB, the US dollar’s buying rate stands at Rs 136.28, while the selling rate is fixed at Rs 136.88. The European Euro has been set at a buying rate of Rs 154.32 and a selling rate of Rs 155.00. Similarly, the British pound sterling is being traded at Rs 183.77 for buying and Rs 184.58 for selling.

The Swiss franc’s exchange rate is Rs 164.72 (buying) and Rs 165.44 (selling), while the Australian dollar is valued at Rs 87.74 (buying) and Rs 88.13 (selling). The Canadian dollar has been fixed at Rs 98.56 (buying) and Rs 98.09 (selling), and the Singapore dollar is set at Rs 105.87 (buying) and Rs 106.24 (selling).

Asian and Middle Eastern Currencies

For Asian currencies, the Japanese yen (per 10 units) has a buying rate of Rs 9.45 and a selling rate of Rs 9.49. The Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 18.95 (buying) and Rs 19.03 (selling). The Saudi riyal is fixed at Rs 36.33 (buying) and Rs 36.49 (selling), while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 37.39 (buying) and Rs 37.56 (selling).

Additionally, the Thai baht has been set at Rs 4.17 (buying) and Rs 4.19 (selling), while the UAE dirham is listed at Rs 37.10 (buying) and Rs 37.27 (selling). The Malaysian ringgit is valued at Rs 32.26 (buying) and Rs 32.40 (selling), and the South Korean won (per 100 units) is priced at Rs 9.93 (buying) and Rs 9.97 (selling).

Other Notable Currencies

The Swedish krona has been fixed at Rs 14.19 (buying) and Rs 14.25 (selling), while the Danish krone is set at Rs 20.69 (buying) and Rs 20.79 (selling). The Hong Kong dollar is listed at Rs 17.39 (buying) and Rs 17.46 (selling).

For Middle Eastern currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar has a buying rate of Rs 444.02 and a selling rate of Rs 445.98, while the Bahraini dinar is priced at Rs 361.47 (buying) and Rs 363.05 (selling). The Omani rial stands at Rs 354.00 (buying) and Rs 355.56 (selling).

Indian Rupee Exchange Rate

The Indian rupee (per 100 units) has been fixed at a buying rate of Rs 160.00 and a selling rate of Rs 160.15.

Flexibility in Rate Adjustments

The central bank has clarified that these exchange rates are subject to change at any time based on market conditions. While NRB provides the benchmark rates, commercial banks may set slightly different exchange rates for transactions. The latest updates can be accessed on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
