Nepal Rastra Bank Publishes Foreign Exchange Rates for Today

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has released the official foreign exchange rates for today, providing the buying and selling values of various international currencies against the Nepalese Rupee (NPR). According to the data published by NRB, the exchange rate for one US dollar is fixed at NPR 136.32 for buying and NPR 136.92 for selling.

Likewise, the European currency Euro is being traded at NPR 155.72 for buying and NPR 156.40 for selling. The exchange rate for one British Pound Sterling has been set at NPR 184.58 for buying and NPR 185.40 for selling. Similarly, the Swiss Franc is being exchanged at NPR 166.77 for buying and NPR 167.51 for selling. These rates are significant for importers, exporters, travelers, and financial institutions that deal in foreign currency.

Among other major currencies, the Australian Dollar is being traded at NPR 88.41 for buying and NPR 88.80 for selling. The Canadian Dollar stands at NPR 99.49 for buying and NPR 99.93 for selling. The Singapore Dollar’s rate is NPR 105.99 for buying and NPR 106.45 for selling, reflecting minor fluctuations from the previous day’s rates.

In the case of Asian currencies, the Japanese Yen is priced at NPR 9.56 per 10 units for buying and NPR 9.60 for selling. The Chinese Yuan is being exchanged at NPR 18.93 for buying and NPR 19.02 for selling. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is available at NPR 36.34 for buying and NPR 36.50 for selling, while the Qatari Riyal has been set at NPR 37.41 for buying and NPR 37.57 for selling.

Similarly, the Thai Baht is exchanged at NPR 4.19 for buying and NPR 4.21 for selling. The UAE Dirham is being traded at NPR 37.11 for buying and NPR 37.28 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit’s rate is NPR 32.03 for buying and NPR 32.17 for selling. For the South Korean Won, the rate is NPR 9.91 per 100 units for buying and NPR 9.95 for selling.

Among Scandinavian currencies, the Swedish Krona is being exchanged at NPR 14.34 for buying and NPR 14.40 for selling. The Danish Kroner is priced at NPR 20.87 for buying and NPR 20.96 for selling. Additionally, the Hong Kong Dollar’s rate is set at NPR 17.38 for buying and NPR 17.46 for selling.

For Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti Dinar remains one of the highest valued currencies with a buying rate of NPR 444.73 and a selling rate of NPR 446.69. The Bahraini Dinar is being exchanged at NPR 361.61 for buying and NPR 363.20 for selling. The Omani Riyal is priced at NPR 354.10 for buying and NPR 355.66 for selling.

As for India, Nepal’s closest trade partner, the exchange rate for 100 Indian Rupees (INR) is set at NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling. This fixed rate is particularly important, as India-Nepal trade is conducted in large volume and many individuals also rely on the INR for remittance and cross-border travel.

Nepal Rastra Bank has clarified that the published exchange rates are subject to change depending on market conditions and demand. The central bank retains the authority to revise the rates at any time during the day if necessary.
