Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central monetary authority of the country, has announced the official foreign exchange rates for June 23, 2025. The bank has released a comprehensive list of buying and selling rates for multiple international currencies, which play a vital role in facilitating international trade, tourism, remittance, and foreign investments.
USD Exchange Rates Fixed

The US dollar rate is closely watched in Nepal due to its influence on international trade and remittance inflows.
Strong European Currencies: Euro and Pound Sterling
For the Euro, the bank has determined the buying rate at NPR 159.29 and the selling rate at NPR 159.98. This reflects the ongoing strength of the European currency in the global market. Similarly, the British Pound Sterling has a high valuation today, with the buying rate set at NPR 185.93 and the selling rate at NPR 186.74. The pound has traditionally remained among the highest-valued currencies exchanged in Nepal, especially relevant for Nepalese students and workers in the UK.

Flexibility in Exchange Rate Adjustments
Nepal Rastra Bank has also stated that these exchange rates are subject to change based on market fluctuations and international currency movements. The bank retains the authority to revise the rates at any point if deemed necessary. It also reminded the public and commercial banks that the exchange rates set by individual banks may vary slightly and encouraged users to refer to the official NRB website for updated and verified information.
These daily currency updates are a vital reference for traders, remittance recipients, importers, exporters, and currency exchange service providers across the country.
