Nepal Rastra Bank has released the foreign exchange rates for today, showing slight fluctuations in the value of major currencies compared to Friday. According to the central bank, the value of the US dollar has slightly decreased, while the Euro and UK Pound Sterling have seen an increase.
As of today, the buying rate for the US dollar is set at NPR 133.93, with a selling rate of NPR 134.53. This marks a small drop from Friday’s rates, which were NPR 134.05 for buying and NPR 134.65 for selling.
Meanwhile, the Euro has risen, with today’s buying rate set at NPR 148.49 and the selling rate at NPR 149.16, compared to Friday’s rates of NPR 147.72 and NPR 148.38, respectively. The UK Pound Sterling has also gained value, with the buying rate increasing to NPR 175.70 and the selling rate to NPR 176.48, up from Friday’s NPR 174.93 for buying and NPR 175.71 for selling.
Other currencies, including the Saudi Riyal, Qatari Riyal, Malaysian Ringgit, UAE Dirham, Hong Kong Dollar, Kuwaiti Dinar, and Bahraini Dinar, have seen minor changes in their exchange rates. For example, the Saudi Riyal is being bought at NPR 35.69 and sold at NPR 35.85, while the Qatari Riyal’s buying rate is NPR 36.74 and its selling rate is NPR 36.90.
Additionally, the Swiss Franc is being bought at NPR 158.11 and sold at NPR 158.82. The Australian Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 89.65 and a selling rate of NPR 90.05, while the Canadian Dollar is being bought at NPR 98.55 and sold at NPR 99.99. The exchange rate for the Japanese Yen is NPR 9.51 for buying and NPR 9.56 for selling per 10 yen, and the Chinese Yuan stands at NPR 18.88 for buying and NPR 18.96 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these exchange rates are subject to revision at any time, and commercial banks may offer different rates. The updated rates can be accessed on the central bank’s website.
