Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the value of the US dollar remaining unchanged. However, there has been an increase in the rates of several other currencies, including the Euro, British Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Japanese Yen, Malaysian Ringgit, Swedish Krona, Danish Krone, Kuwaiti Dinar, and Hong Kong Dollar. Meanwhile, the Bahraini Dinar has seen a decline, while some foreign currencies have maintained stable rates.
As per the updated rates, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is NPR 136.56, while the selling rate is NPR 137.16. The buying rate for 1 Euro is NPR 142.67, and the selling rate is NPR 143.30. Similarly, 1 British Pound Sterling is valued at a buying rate of NPR 172.09 and a selling rate of NPR 172.84. The Swiss Franc is set at NPR 151.46 for buying and NPR 152.12 for selling.
For the Australian Dollar, the buying rate is NPR 85.23, and the selling rate is NPR 85.61. The Canadian Dollar stands at NPR 94.99 for buying and NPR 95.41 for selling. The Singapore Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 100.72 and a selling rate of NPR 101.17.
Regarding the Japanese Yen, 10 units have a buying rate of NPR 8.66 and a selling rate of NPR 8.70. The Chinese Yuan is set at NPR 18.71 for buying and NPR 18.79 for selling. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is valued at NPR 36.37 for buying and NPR 36.53 for selling, while the Qatari Riyal stands at NPR 37.46 for buying and NPR 37.62 for selling.
Additionally, the Thai Baht has a buying rate of NPR 4.01 and a selling rate of NPR 4.03. The UAE Dirham is set at NPR 37.18 for buying and NPR 37.34 for selling, and the Malaysian Ringgit is at NPR 30.58 for buying and NPR 30.72 for selling.
The South Korean Won has a buying rate of NPR 9.27 per 100 units and a selling rate of NPR 9.31. The Swedish Krona is priced at NPR 12.42 for buying and NPR 12.47 for selling, while the Danish Krone has rates of NPR 19.13 for buying and NPR 19.21 for selling.
NRB has also set the buying rate for 1 Hong Kong Dollar at NPR 17.60 and the selling rate at NPR 17.68. The Kuwaiti Dinar is priced at NPR 443.30 for buying and NPR 445.25 for selling. The Bahraini Dinar has a buying rate of NPR 361.99 and a selling rate of NPR 363.58. The Omani Rial is set at NPR 354.68 for buying and NPR 356.24 for selling.
Furthermore, the Indian Rupee has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling per 100 units.
The central bank has stated that these rates are subject to change and can be revised at any time. It also noted that commercial banks might offer slightly different rates, and the updated exchange rates are available on the NRB’s official website.
