Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) announced the exchange rates for various foreign currencies applicable on Tuesday. According to NRB, the buying rate for one U.S. dollar is NPR 134.23, while the selling rate is NPR 134.83.
The buying rate for the Euro is NPR 145.21, and the selling rate is NPR 145.86. Similarly, the British Pound Sterling has a buying rate of NPR 174.21 and a selling rate of NPR 174.99. The Swiss Franc’s buying and selling rates are NPR 154.96 and NPR 155.65, respectively.
The Australian Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 88.67 and a selling rate of NPR 89.06, while the Canadian Dollar’s buying and selling rates are NPR 96.62 and NPR 97.05. The Singapore Dollar is set at NPR 101.54 for buying and NPR 101.99 for selling.
For Asian currencies, the Japanese Yen (10 units) is set at NPR 8.79 buying and NPR 8.83 selling, the Chinese Yuan is NPR 18.83 buying and NPR 18.92 selling. Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabian Riyal’s buying rate is NPR 35.74, and the selling rate is NPR 35.90, and the Qatari Riyal has a buying rate of NPR 36.82 and a selling rate of NPR 36.98.
NRB also set the exchange rates for other currencies: the Thai Baht at NPR 3.97 buying and NPR 3.99 selling, the UAE Dirham at NPR 36.55 buying and NPR 36.71 selling, the Malaysian Ringgit at NPR 30.78 buying and NPR 30.92 selling, the South Korean Won (100 units) at NPR 9.70 buying and NPR 9.75 selling, the Swedish Krona at NPR 12.66 buying and NPR 12.72 selling, and the Danish Krona at NPR 19.47 buying and NPR 19.55 selling.
The Hong Kong Dollar’s buying rate is NPR 17.27, and its selling rate is NPR 17.35. The Kuwaiti Dinar, Bahrain Dinar, and Indian Rupee are also included, with the Kuwaiti Dinar set at NPR 437.76 buying and NPR 439.72 selling, the Bahrain Dinar at NPR 356.02 buying and NPR 357.61 selling, and the Indian Rupee at NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
The central bank reserves the right to adjust these rates as necessary. Commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and updated rates are available on the NRB website.
