Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday, showing a rise in the Australian and Canadian dollar rates compared to Tuesday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Australian dollar is now set at NPR 88.96, with the selling rate at NPR 89.36. Similarly, one Canadian dollar’s buying rate has increased to NPR 96.74, while the selling rate stands at NPR 97.17.
The exchange rate for one US dollar is fixed at NPR 134.28 for buying and NPR 134.88 for selling. The Euro stands at NPR 146.39 for buying and NPR 147.04 for selling, while the UK pound sterling is set at NPR 174.42 and NPR 175.20 for buying and selling, respectively. The Swiss franc is at NPR 155.82 for buying and NPR 156.52 for selling.
For the Singapore dollar, the buying rate is NPR 102.01 and the selling rate is NPR 102.46. Meanwhile, the Japanese yen (10 units) is set at NPR 8.82 for buying and NPR 8.86 for selling. The Chinese yuan is valued at NPR 18.90 for buying and NPR 18.99 for selling, with the Saudi Arabian riyal at NPR 35.75 and NPR 35.91, and the Qatari riyal at NPR 36.84 and NPR 37.01, respectively.
Other major currency rates include the Thai baht at NPR 4.00 for buying and NPR 4.02 for selling, UAE dirham at NPR 36.56 for buying and NPR 36.72 for selling, and the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 30.90 for buying and NPR 31.04 for selling. The South Korean won (100 units) is NPR 9.73 for buying and NPR 9.77 for selling. Swedish krona is at NPR 12.56 for buying and NPR 12.61 for selling, while the Danish krone is NPR 19.63 for buying and NPR 19.71 for selling.
In addition, the exchange rate for one Hong Kong dollar is NPR 17.28 for buying and NPR 17.36 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at NPR 438.34 for buying and NPR 440.30 for selling, with the Bahraini dinar at NPR 356.18 for buying and NPR 357.77 for selling. The Indian rupee (100 units) is at NPR 160 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has clarified that these rates may be adjusted as needed, and that commercial banks may offer different exchange rates, which are updated regularly on the central bank’s website.
