NRB has stated that these rates may be adjusted as per market fluctuations. It has also clarified that the exchange rates determined by commercial banks may differ slightly from the rates set by the central bank. For real-time updates on exchange rates, NRB has advised individuals and businesses to refer to its official website.

Foreign exchange rates play a critical role in Nepal’s economy, affecting various sectors, including tourism, imports, and remittances. A slight fluctuation in the exchange rates can significantly impact Nepalese businesses and individuals dealing with foreign currency transactions. With the current global economic scenario and Nepal’s reliance on remittances, monitoring exchange rates remains crucial for traders, financial institutions, and policymakers.

As the central regulatory authority, Nepal Rastra Bank continues to ensure that exchange rate policies remain in line with Nepal’s economic interests, keeping inflation and external trade stability in check.
