Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for today, with the value of the US dollar rising once again. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at NPR 138.71, while the selling rate is NPR 139.31. Similarly, the exchange rate for one euro stands at NPR 145.40 for buying and NPR 146.03 for selling.
The UK pound sterling has been valued at NPR 174.75 for buying and NPR 175.51 for selling. Likewise, the Swiss franc has a buying rate of NPR 153.99 and a selling rate of NPR 154.66. Among other major international currencies, the Australian dollar is trading at NPR 88.23 for buying and NPR 88.62 for selling, while the Canadian dollar is at NPR 97.73 for buying and NPR 98.15 for selling. The Singapore dollar’s exchange rate has been fixed at NPR 103.41 for buying and NPR 103.86 for selling.
In Asian currencies, the Japanese yen, calculated per 10 units, is valued at NPR 9.14 for buying and NPR 9.18 for selling. The Chinese yuan has been set at NPR 19.10 for buying and NPR 19.18 for selling. Additionally, the Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at NPR 36.98 for buying and NPR 37.14 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 38.05 for buying and NPR 38.22 for selling.
Other notable currency rates include the Thai baht at NPR 4.12 for buying and NPR 4.13 for selling, the UAE dirham at NPR 37.77 for buying and NPR 37.93 for selling, and the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 31.28 for buying and NPR 31.42 for selling. The South Korean won, valued per 100 units, has been set at NPR 9.61 for buying and NPR 9.65 for selling. Meanwhile, the Swedish krona stands at NPR 12.96 for buying and NPR 13.01 for selling, and the Danish krone at NPR 19.49 for buying and NPR 19.58 for selling.
The Hong Kong dollar is trading at NPR 17.83 for buying and NPR 17.91 for selling. Among Middle Eastern currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at NPR 449.47 for buying and NPR 451.41 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 368.04 for buying and NPR 369.63 for selling, and the Omani riyal at NPR 360.28 for buying and NPR 361.83 for selling.
Additionally, the Indian rupee, which plays a significant role in Nepal’s financial transactions, has been set at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling per INR 100. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates are subject to change as per necessity, and commercial banks may set slightly different rates.
