Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for today, revealing fluctuations across various currencies. Notably, the value of the US dollar has declined, while currencies such as the Euro, Pound Sterling, and Swiss Franc have experienced an uptick.
As per the fixed rates, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at NPR 138.22, while the selling rate is NPR 138.82. Similarly, the buying rate for one Euro is NPR 142.67, with a selling rate of NPR 143.29. The Pound Sterling stands at a buying rate of NPR 168.66 and a selling rate of NPR 169.40. The Swiss Franc is priced at a buying rate of NPR 151.31 and a selling rate of NPR 151.96.
Among other currencies, the Australian Dollar’s buying rate is NPR 85.73, and its selling rate is NPR 86.10. The Canadian Dollar is listed at NPR 95.55 (buying) and NPR 95.97 (selling). The Singapore Dollar is set at NPR 101.31 (buying) and NPR 101.75 (selling).
For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese Yen are priced at NPR 8.84 (buying) and NPR 8.88 (selling). The Chinese Yuan is set at NPR 18.90 (buying) and NPR 18.98 (selling). The Saudi Riyal’s buying rate is NPR 36.84, with a selling rate of NPR 37. Similarly, the Qatari Riyal stands at NPR 37.92 (buying) and NPR 37.79 (selling).
Other notable currencies include the Thai Baht at NPR 4.04 (buying) and NPR 4.05 (selling), UAE Dirham at NPR 37.63 (buying) and NPR 37.79 (selling), and Malaysian Ringgit at NPR 30.76 (buying) and NPR 30.90 (selling). The South Korean Won is listed at NPR 9.53 (buying) and NPR 9.57 (selling) per 100 units.
European currencies like the Swedish Krona and Danish Krone are also included, with the Swedish Krona priced at NPR 12.40 (buying) and NPR 12.45 (selling), while the Danish Krone is listed at NPR 19.12 (buying) and NPR 19.21 (selling).
Additionally, the Hong Kong Dollar is priced at NPR 17.76 (buying) and NPR 17.83 (selling). High-value currencies like the Kuwaiti Dinar, Bahraini Dinar, and Omani Riyal are priced at NPR 448.00 (buying) and NPR 449.94 (selling), NPR 366.66 (buying) and NPR 368.25 (selling), and NPR 359.08 (buying) and NPR 360.64 (selling), respectively.
The Indian Rupee remains stable, with 100 Indian Rupees valued at NPR 160 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling).
NRB has indicated that these rates are subject to revision as needed. Commercial banks may set different rates, and the updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
