Shrestha also expressed excitement about the Chinese government’s positive attitude and preparations for air service operations.
President Shrestha and his team urged the Chinese minister to invest in air service operations and tourism at a new airport in Nepal. Shrestha emphasized the need for Chinese assistance to initiate air services at the second international airport in Nepal, which was built by a Chinese company. He also pointed out that regular flights would not only promote tourism in Lumbini but also spread Buddha’s message globally. Shrestha expressed the hope that China’s support would pave the way for welcoming Chinese pilgrims to Lumbini. He mentioned that they have received a positive response from the Chinese minister, thanks to Nepal’s longstanding relationship with China.
Shrestha also mentioned that the opening of the Gautam Buddha International Airport would not just increase tourism between Nepal and China but also support industrial growth.
