The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has announced its active participation in the Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) 2025, highlighting Nepal as a ready and welcoming destination with a unique blend of nature, culture, and adventure.

A Warm Welcome to Tourists with Unique Offerings

During the three-day exhibition held at the China International Exhibition Center in Chaoyang District, Beijing, NTB’s Senior Manager Suman Ghimire stated that Nepal is fully prepared to welcome tourists through its unmatched combination of natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, thrilling adventures, and warm hospitality. He emphasized that China has always been a vital tourism source market for Nepal, and that the country is now offering diversified tourism packages focused on art, culture, holidays, and Buddhism.

Spirituality and Culture Take Center Stage

Starting from June 27, the Nepal Pavilion drew significant attention from both tourism professionals and general visitors. The NTB presented Nepal’s spiritual depth, cultural diversity, and scenic beauty to an international audience in a powerful manner. According to the board, attendees showed keen interest in Nepal’s soft adventure activities, cultural circuits, spiritual retreats, and short-stay wellness tours.

Highlighting Nepal’s rising global appeal, especially in the Chinese market, the pavilion earned the “Best Popularity Award” at the expo. This recognition reflects increasing international interest and enthusiasm for Nepal, reinforcing its status as a favored destination and showcasing its cultural and tourism potential on a prominent global stage.

Engaging Global Audiences through Strategic Sessions

The exhibition was structured to focus on B2B networking during the first two days and B2C engagement on the final day. On the sidelines of the main event, the Nepal Tourism Board hosted a special destination presentation where representatives engaged directly with Chinese tourism stakeholders. The key message conveyed was Nepal as a “lifetime experience” destination, reinforcing long-term tourism value.

Capturing Nepal’s Tourism Essence in an Appealing Way

The Nepal Pavilion was designed to vividly portray the richness of the country’s cultural and historical heritage, its breathtaking Himalayan adventures, and its wide-ranging tourism potential. Participating private tourism companies presented their top travel packages, emphasizing Nepal’s capacity to deliver multi-dimensional experiences to global travelers.

Among the participating Nepali travel companies were Pearl Holidays, Outside Adventure, Nepal Himalayan International Travel Company, Journey DMC Pvt. Ltd., Himalaya Safety Treks and Expedition, Dragon Holidays, Accessible Adventure, and Friends Adventure Team. These companies not only promoted their offerings but also engaged in fruitful dialogue with international buyers and visitors.

High-Level Visits and Bilateral Engagements

Nepal’s presence at BITE 2025 was further strengthened by visits from senior officials including the Honorable Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka; Deputy Chief of Mission at the Nepali Embassy in Beijing, Roshan Khanal; and Parvati Aryal from the Department of Economic Affairs, among others.

The Nepali delegation engaged in bilateral talks with tourism representatives from the Maldives and Saint Petersburg, Russia. These discussions focused on exploring joint opportunities for promoting tourism and encouraging the mutual exchange of travel experiences, aiming to strengthen international tourism ties and foster collaborative initiatives between the countries involved.

Looking Ahead: Strengthening Tourism from China

The Nepal Tourism Board is optimistic that recent engagements will lead to meaningful collaborations. It anticipates a rise in tourist arrivals from Beijing and nearby regions, aiming to establish Nepal as a favored destination among Chinese travelers and strengthen its presence in the growing Chinese tourism market.

Nepal’s vibrant participation at BITE 2025 highlighted its identity as a culturally rich, inclusive, and captivating travel destination. It showcased Nepal not merely as a holiday spot but as a meaningful experience, inviting visitors on a deeper journey of exploration, cultural connection, and unforgettable memories across diverse landscapes and traditions.
