Nepal Tourism Board and Korean Embassy Strengthen Tourism Ties

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea held a significant courtesy meeting aimed at strengthening the tourism relationship between Nepal and South Korea. The discussions, led by His Excellency Mr. Park Tae-Young, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, and Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of NTB, focused on enhancing Nepal’s position as a top destination for South Korean tourists.

The meeting underscored the immense potential of Nepal’s natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and diverse adventure tourism offerings in attracting South Korean travelers. “Nepal has immense potential as a favored destination for South Korean travelers, and we are committed to creating meaningful partnerships to highlight the unique experiences our country offers,” said Mr. Joshi. “This collaboration will pave the way for enhanced tourism exchanges and mutual growth.”

Both parties emphasized the importance of mutual efforts to create impactful promotional campaigns and build people-to-people connections to drive tourism growth. The meeting concluded with a commitment to working together in the coming months to increase South Korean tourist arrivals and promote sustainable tourism development.

Also present at the meeting were Ms. Nandini L. Thapa, Sr. Director, NTB; Mr. Sunil Sharma, Officiating Director; Mr. Rohini Khanal, Sr. Manager; Mr. Gokul Bhandari, Sr. Officer from NTB; and Ms. Kim Yumi, Third Secretary & Vice Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. All attendees expressed their enthusiasm for the shared vision of strengthening tourism cooperation between the two nations.
