Nepal Tourism Board CEO Selection Process Enters Final Phase

The selection process for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has reached its final stage. Following legal challenges regarding the legitimacy of the CEO selection and recommendation committee, the process was stalled. However, the Patan High Court’s dismissal of the issue has allowed the process to move forward.

On Monday, 16 candidates presented their proposals to the selection committee. According to the committee’s schedule, these candidates will undergo interviews on Tuesday.

The CEO selection committee has confirmed that today (Monday) marked the presentation phase for the 16 candidates. The interviews for these candidates are slated for tomorrow. The NTB Board of Directors is expected to decide on the CEO appointment later this week.

The competition for the CEO position includes former NTB CEOs Dr. Dhananjay Regmi and Deepak Raj Joshi, as well as NTB employees Hikmat Singh Aire and Shraddha Shrestha. Other contenders are Santosh Bikram Thapa, Laxman Gautam, Nabin Pokharel, Bijay Nepal, Rajaram Giri, Rajaram KC, Gyanin Rai, Gyaneshwor Singh Mahato, Surya Bahadur Ghimire, Deepak Bastakoti, Ramchandra Sedhai, and Thakur Devkota.
