The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index continued its decline, dropping by 25.46 points or 0.93%, to close at 2,701.90 points. This follows a 12.10-point decrease in the previous trading session, extending the market’s downward trajectory.
The trading session opened at 2,732.83 points, peaking at an intraday high of 2,760.45 points before sliding to a low of 2,697.84 points. By the close of the session, NEPSE had settled at 2,701.90 points.
Similarly, the Hotel and Tourism Index also followed a downward trend, dropping by 98.97 points or 1.41%, to end the day at 6,896.63 points. This came after an 8.38-point decline in the previous session.
The session began with the Hotel and Tourism Index at 6,995.61 points, reaching an intraday high of 7,063.61 points before hitting a low of 6,863.79 points, eventually closing at 6,896.63 points.
Both indices reflect ongoing market volatility, with investors closely watching the performance of key sectors, including tourism, which has been under pressure.
