NEPSE Inches Up by 3.58 Points; Hotels and Tourism Index Rebounds

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its upward momentum in today’s trading session, gaining 3.58 points, or 0.13%, to close at 2,661.60. This follows a marginal gain of 2.08 points recorded in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,657.75 and experienced fluctuations throughout the day, reaching an intraday high of 2,684.51 before touching a low of 2,657.37.

Meanwhile, the Hotels and Tourism Index showed signs of recovery after facing a sharp decline in the previous session. The sectoral index rose by 24.63 points, or 0.38%, to settle at 6,435.31. In the previous trading day, the Hotels and Tourism Index had slipped by 75.84 points.

The Hotels and Tourism Index opened at 6,410.68 today, reaching an intraday peak of 6,491.81 and a low of 6,385.16, indicating increased investor activity within the sector.

Market analysts noted that the modest rise in NEPSE and the rebound in the Hotels and Tourism Index reflect cautious optimism among investors as the market seeks stability.
