NEPSE Surges 69.80 Points, Hotel and Tourism Index Sees Strong Gains

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) staged a significant recovery, climbing 69.80 points (2.62%) to close at 2,727.58. This sharp rise follows a 24.50-point gain in the previous session, signaling strong market momentum.

NEPSE opened at 2,662.42 and experienced fluctuations throughout the day, reaching an intraday high of 2,723.92 and a low of 2,662.01 before closing with a notable gain.

The Hotel and Tourism Index also witnessed an impressive rebound, surging 124.15 points (1.82%) to settle at 6,939.94. This follows a 46.05-point gain in the previous trading session, further reinforcing the sector’s upward trajectory.

The index opened at 6,841.72 and fluctuated during the session, touching a high of 6,994.33 and a low of 6,813.45. The strong performance of the tourism sector highlights growing investor confidence, potentially fueled by positive outlooks in hospitality and travel industries.

The continued rally in both NEPSE and the Hotel and Tourism Index reflects renewed investor optimism and a strengthening market sentiment.
