Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, stated that tourism development is key to achieving the country’s prosperity. During the inauguration of the Ila Comfort Hotel and resort in Baglung Bazaar, he praised the private sector’s role in building tourism infrastructure.
Minister Pandey emphasized that economic prosperity can be achieved through public-private partnerships and highlighted the government’s efforts to create an investment-friendly environment. He also pointed out the need for better infrastructure to attract more tourists.
The government has been supporting the private sector in developing tourism infrastructure, he added. Chandra Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), stressed the importance of investment and job creation for the country. He believes that investing in the tourism and hydropower sectors will lead the country to prosperity. The Ila Comfort resort was built by FNCCI President Dhakal with an investment of Rs 300 million.
