Following the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) held on September 2, 2024, the newly elected working committee, led by President Sagar Pandey, officially assumed office on September 8, 2024.
During the handing-over function, the outgoing President Nilhari Bastola, Senior Vice President Krishna Prasad Dahal, 1st Vice President Pradip Pandit, 2nd Vice President Dhan Bahadur Gurung, General Secretary Binod Sapkota, and Treasurer Purushottam Timalsena transferred the keys, documents, and inventories to the new team. This included a check for NRs. 2.5 million.
The AGM established a new 17-member working committee under the leadership of Sagar Pandey. The Immediate Past President (IPP) of TAAN and the President of TAAN Gandaki will serve as ex-officio members of the 25-member full Executive Committee of TAAN. An additional six new members will be nominated soon to represent all geographical regions. The TAAN Secretariat extended heartfelt thanks to the outgoing Executive Committee (2022-2024) and warmly welcomed the incoming Executive Committee (2024-2026).
The newly elected members include President Sagar Pandey, Senior Vice President Karma Sherpa, First Vice President Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Second Vice President Sanam Sherpa, General Secretary Sonam Gyanjen Sherpa, Secretary Rinji Zangbu Sherpa, Treasurer Gautam Raj Wagle, Joint Treasurer Lakpa Temba Sherpa, and Executive Committee Members Pabitra Tamang (Woman), Raju Gurung, Ambir Bahadur Gurung, Sagar Rai, Binod Kumar Tamang, Hom Bahadur Bishwakarma, Chhapte Lama, Bikas Gurung, and Phurpu Chhiring Lhomi (Bhote).
