The new executive committee of the Hotel And Tourism Entrepreneurs Association Nepal, Bagmati Province, has been elected unopposed. The association’s 5th general assembly and 3rd convention, held on Tuesday in Charikot, Dolakha, unanimously selected Damodar Nepal as the president along with all other office bearers and executive members.

Damodar Nepal was re-elected as president, while Shyam Kumar Shrestha was elected as senior vice president, Nippu Sarraf as first vice president, and Rajkumar Shrestha as second vice president, all unopposed. Previously, the second convention held in Chitlang had elected the same individuals to these positions. Sunil Aryal was unanimously elected as the general secretary, succeeding Rajkumar Pyakurel.

Similarly, Gopal Sapkota was elected as secretary, Ram Krishna Basnet as joint secretary, Binod Lamichhane as treasurer, and Lalit Jung Singh as deputy treasurer. The election committee confirmed that Ram Sharan Gajurel, Bal Krishna Bhatt, Tulsi Poudel, Hem Bahadur Shrestha, Anjan Kumar Khadka, Bodh Prasad Lohani, Tika Bahadur Tamang, Amrit Bahadur Shrestha, and Saroj Kumar Tamang were also elected unopposed as executive committee members.

As per the association’s constitution, the central executive committee consists of 21 members, with 18 elected directly and three nominated by the elected committee. Newly elected President Nepal stated that the first meeting of the new committee would appoint the remaining three members accordingly. Representing Hotel And Tourism Entrepreneurs Association from all 13 districts of Bagmati Province, the association is committed to professional leadership and safeguarding the rights and interests of tourism businesses.

President Nepal expressed his commitment to further strengthening the association and promoting tourism development. He emphasized that while some institutional and policy-related improvements were made during his first term, the new leadership will work toward greater professional rights and tourism promotion initiatives. The newly elected executive committee will serve a two-year term.
