Lankaline welcomes a new upscale resort with an investment exceeding Rs. 100 million, spearheaded by renowned tourism entrepreneur Lakpa Dhundup Lama. This new establishment aims to offer a unique fusion of Himalayan, hill, and plains cultures, catering to both domestic and international tourists with bespoke accommodations and experiences.
Lama, renowned for his thriving resorts in Namrung, Chum Nubri Rural Municipality, Gorkha, underscored the uniqueness of the Lankaline resort. He emphasized, “Our resort seamlessly blends geographical features and diverse Nepali cultures, creating a unified destination that celebrates Nepal’s vibrant tapestry.”
Managing Director Sushil Chaudhary underscored the resort’s focus on wellness, integrating wellness practices into every room. Chaudhary remarked, “We strive for excellence in both facilities and service. Our resort comprises three wings, including one situated within Paudi Pokhari.”
Spanning over two hectares, the resort boasts eight cottages that reflect Tharu cultural elements. Malaysian national Donald Chai oversees operations, aiming to position the resort as a global standard-bearer. Facilities include a helipad for emergency medical services and private cottages equipped with amenities like swimming pools, saunas, and jacuzzis.
The resort also offers local Himalayan products such as Syauka Parikar and Mah from Bhair Mori, along with traditional Himalayan cuisine. Lama disclosed, “Our investment has surpassed Rs. 500 million to date, with plans to exceed Rs. 1 billion shortly.”
Future initiatives include drawing tourists to nearby attractions like Chitwan National Park, Sirai Chuli, and Devghat. Recently, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Hit Bahadur Tamang inaugurated the resort, marking a significant milestone in cultural tourism development.
