The National Photojournalist Group (NFPJ Nepal) has signed a significant agreement with Binzhou Media Group in Shandong Province, China, aimed at expanding cultural and professional relations between the two countries. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was exchanged by NFPJ President Pradeep Raj Onta and Binzhou Media Group Director Zhao Jingyuan during a ceremony held in Binzhou.
The partnership is set to facilitate the exchange of photos, videos, news, and enhance professional capacities between the two organizations. It is also expected to play a pivotal role in supporting cultural exchange and tourism promotion through the media.
Speaking at the event, Zhao Jingyuan, Director of Binzhou Media Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the agreement. He emphasized that such partnerships will not only promote culture and tourism but will also reinforce media cooperation between the governments of Nepal and China. He noted that the friendship between the Nepali photojournalists and the Chinese media house would help highlight the positive aspects of both countries.
NFPJ President Onta voiced his belief that the collaboration with Binzhou Media Group, known for its cultural and natural significance, would further strengthen the relationship between the two organizations. He highlighted the potential of this partnership to promote tourism between Nepal and China through visual storytelling. Onta also expressed his pride in being the first Nepali media group to collaborate with an international media house of this stature.
The event saw the participation of several notable figures, including Binzhou Photographer Association President Li Zhenping, Vice President and Senior Photographer Su Xue, NFPJ Vice President Sunil Sharma, and a delegation of Nepali photojournalists visiting China.
As part of the visit, Binzhou Media Group Director Zhao also led the group on a tour of the city’s radio museum and television broadcast facilities, providing a deeper insight into the media operations in the region.
Binzhou Media Group is the largest media organization in Binzhou, known for its extensive news collection, distribution, and broadcasting capabilities across multiple platforms, including newspapers, radio, television, websites, mobile apps, and online portals.
