Nirmal Purja, the renowned Nepali mountaineer, was greeted with an exuberant reception today at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) following his remarkable achievement in the world of high-altitude climbing. Purja has set a new world record by becoming the fastest person to summit all 14 of the world’s highest peaks, both with and without supplemental oxygen.

His extraordinary feat includes completing the climbs without supplemental oxygen in just 2 years, 4 months, and 28 days. Additionally, he has become the only individual to successfully scale 8,000-meter peaks a staggering 50 times, further solidifying his status as a legend in the mountaineering community.
