The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is participating in the China Outbound Travel Tourism Market (COTTM) 2024, one of China’s leading tourism platforms, to promote Nepal as a top travel destination. The event, held from October 16 for three days, aims to strengthen tourism ties between Nepal and China, fostering business opportunities and enhancing Nepal’s visibility among Chinese travelers.

On the opening day of the exhibition, an NTB official delivered a destination promotion presentation, highlighting Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings, including key attractions, activities, and unique cultural experiences. The presentation aimed to raise awareness about Nepal’s rich heritage, adventure opportunities, and natural beauty, attracting potential visitors from China.

As part of its promotional efforts, NTB also spotlighted its official WeChat account during the event, recognizing the platform’s importance in China. WeChat, widely used by millions of Chinese citizens, will serve as a direct channel for sharing updates, tourism information, and facilitating communication between prospective tourists and Nepal’s tourism representatives. This initiative marks another strategic step by NTB in tapping into the growing Chinese outbound travel market, ensuring that Nepal remains a prominent choice for adventure, culture, and nature-loving tourists.
