NTB Showcases Strong Presence at IITM Hyderabad 2025

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with 12 leading private travel and tourism companies, successfully participated in the India International Travel Mart (IITM) held in Hyderabad from 4–6 December 2025. The three-day event brought together major tourism stakeholders from India and abroad, featuring over 200 exhibitors from more than 25 Indian states, 10 countries, and several international tourism representatives, airlines, and hospitality brands.

A Major Platform for Tourism Networking

IITM 2025 served as an important B2B forum for tourism boards, tour operators, airlines, hotels, and travel technology providers. With more than 250 exhibitors and delegations from 18+ Indian states, the fair facilitated wide-ranging business networking opportunities, exploration of emerging destinations, and insights into evolving travel technologies.

Nepal’s participating companies included: JourneyDMC, The Trek Nepal Pvt. Ltd, Nepal Big Mountain Travel Company Pvt. Ltd, Taleju Adventure Pvt. Ltd, Go Nepal Travel, Tours & Trekking Pvt. Throughout the event, Nepal’s pavilion drew strong attention as travel trade professionals engaged enthusiastically with Nepal’s cultural heritage, adventure tourism, and warm hospitality.

Nepal Receives “Heritage Destination of the Year” Award

Adding to its successful participation, Nepal was honored with the “Heritage Destination of the Year” award at IITM 2025. The award recognized Nepal’s exceptional cultural legacy, unique historical sites, and vibrant traditions that continue to captivate global travelers.

Along with Nepal, other exhibitors, including international tourism boards such as Tourism Malaysia, highlighted opportunities in holiday tourism, cruises, international weddings, cultural tours, and luxury travel experiences.

NTB Conducts Youth Outreach Program in Hyderabad

Beyond the trade fair, NTB also launched a special youth outreach program aimed at strengthening Nepal’s image among young travelers. Ms. Shradha Shrestha, Senior Manager at NTB, interacted with nearly 200 high school students at Shri Shantiniketan Secondary School. She presented Nepal as an exciting and diverse travel destination, showcasing its natural beauty, cultural richness, and adventure possibilities. The session successfully inspired students to learn more about Nepal, sparking curiosity and a desire to explore the country in the future.

A Successful Showcase of Nepal’s Tourism Potential

Nepal’s dynamic presence at IITM Hyderabad 2025 not only strengthened its visibility in the Indian travel market but also fostered new partnerships and promotional avenues. With recognition as a leading heritage destination and impactful youth engagement, NTB’s participation marks an important step toward expanding Nepal’s tourism footprint in India and beyond.
