NTB Welcomes New Chairperson in 395th Executive Committee Meeting

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) warmly welcomed its newly appointed Chairperson and the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Mukunda Prasad Niraula, during its 395th Executive Committee meeting. The session marked an important step in familiarizing the new leadership with the board’s ongoing activities and strategic priorities.

New Members Join the Executive Committee Of NTB

The meeting was also joined by newly inducted members, including Dr. Buddhi Sagar Poudel, Director General of the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (DNPWC); Mr. Shankar Bahadur KC, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance; Mr. Ram Chandra Tiwari, Director General of the Department of Immigration; and Mr. Ram Krishna Lamichhane, Director General of the Department of Tourism.

The new chairperson and committee members were briefed on the organizational structure, functions, and situational analysis of the NTB, providing them with a clear understanding of the board’s role in promoting tourism in Nepal.

During the meeting, the CEO of NTB presented the quarterly progress report, highlighting achievements, ongoing projects, and key performance indicators. The session was attended by the Vice Chair and executive members representing the private sector of the tourism industry, emphasizing collaboration between government authorities and private stakeholders. The meeting set a strong foundation for the new leadership to advance tourism development initiatives and strengthen Nepal’s position as a premier global tourism destination.
