NTNC-ACAP and Janapriya Multiple Campus Forge Strategic Partnership to Supercharge National Tourism Capacity

A significant step towards enhancing national capacity in the tourism sector was achieved today as the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), under the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), agreed with Janapriya Multiple Campus (JMC), Pokhara.

This partnership aims to advance the NTNC-ACAP-approved internship, volunteer, and trainee programs, specifically designed to develop skills and practical knowledge among young professionals in the tourism industry.

The formal agreement was signed by NTNC-ACAP Project Chief Dr. Rabin Kadariya and JMC Campus Chief Mr. Ramesh Bahadur Khadka. Through this collaboration, both institutions are committed to providing hands-on experience to students and trainees, enabling them to contribute effectively to Nepal’s tourism sector.

The program will offer an immersive learning platform, allowing participants to gain insights into sustainable tourism practices, conservation strategies, and resource management within the Annapurna Conservation Area.

“Today’s agreement not only marks a new chapter for both institutions but also reflects our commitment to fostering skilled professionals who can drive sustainable tourism forward in Nepal,” remarked Dr. Kadariya. Similarly, Mr. Khadka emphasized the value of such partnerships in creating a workforce that is both knowledgeable and dedicated to preserving Nepal’s unique natural heritage.

This initiative aligns with NTNC-ACAP’s broader goals of sustainable tourism development and conservation, bridging educational institutions and conservation efforts to build a stronger, more resilient tourism industry in Nepal.
