A Nepali guide has died during a trek in the Manaslu area. The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Sarki Sherpa from Sotang Municipality-4, Solukhumbu, according to the District Police Office in Gorkha. While walking along the riverbank in Khola, Dharchhe Municipality-3, he suddenly collapsed and was taken to the Dharchhe District Basic Hospital for treatment.

“He had come as a guide for an American citizen through INFO Nepal Trekking Agency,” said DSP Indraprasad Subedi. The Sherpa, who had suffered a severe head injury, passed away during treatment at 9:30 AM on Thursday, according to the authorities. The District Police Office in Gorkha has stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
