Local Economy Sees Positive Impact

With Rasuwa located close to the Kathmandu Valley, the rising number of visitors has significantly boosted local economic activities. Popular areas such as Gosainkunda, Langtang, and Syabrubesi have witnessed increased business, benefiting hotel owners, farmers, porters, and daily wage workers.

Chairperson of the district-level civil society, Babulal Tamang, said that the growing flow of tourists has had a positive impact on the overall local economy. “The increase in tourist arrivals has created better income opportunities for hotel entrepreneurs, farmers, laborers, and other service providers. Overall, the entire local community is benefiting,” he noted.

Langtang National Park, renowned for its snow-capped peaks, alpine landscapes, rich biodiversity, and sacred lakes, remains one of Nepal’s most attractive trekking and pilgrimage destinations. With improving infrastructure, better road access, and rising awareness among travelers, tourism stakeholders are optimistic that Rasuwa will continue to see strong growth in the coming years, further strengthening both conservation efforts and local livelihoods.
