Pokhara’s Bold “Visit Year 2025” Campaign Targets 2 Million Visitors

The Pokhara Metropolitan City is gearing up to announce “Pokhara Visit Year 2025” with the ambitious goal of welcoming two million tourists throughout the year. The formal announcement of this grand tourism campaign is set to take place on February 15, 2024, as confirmed by Mayor Dhanraj Acharya.

To ensure the success of Pokhara Visit Year 2025, a 1,050-member main organizing committee has been formed under the leadership of Mayor Acharya. In addition, he will also head the Directorate Committee, which will oversee all major activities and initiatives related to the event. To streamline operations and execute promotional strategies effectively, the city has established 43 sub-committees, each tasked with different aspects of the campaign.

Speaking about the preparations, Mayor Acharya stated, “We are working diligently towards the official declaration of Pokhara Visit Year. The event will witness the participation of ambassadors from various countries, enhancing Pokhara’s global tourism appeal.” To further strengthen the campaign, Pokhara Metropolitan City plans to appoint goodwill ambassadors who will help promote Pokhara as a premier tourist destination across different nations.

Pokhara, known for its stunning lakes, breathtaking Himalayan views, and adventure tourism activities, aims to leverage this special tourism year to attract more international and domestic travelers. With extensive promotional efforts and well-planned initiatives, Pokhara Visit Year 2025 is expected to significantly boost the local economy and establish the city as a leading tourism hub in South Asia.
